About the Beers

Piston Broke - Golden Ale

A robust golden ale, refreshingly hoppy with bittersweet fruity aroma. Piston Broke is a celebration of Goldings and Cascade hops with tropical and citrus fruit notes on the nose and a hint of grapefruit behind a full bodied finish.

Tunnel Vision - Premium Bitter

A well rounded, light amber bitter, Tunnel Vision is clean tasting with a slight bitterness on the finish. Target, Challenger and Goldings hops at the heart of the recipe give a hoppy, fruity nose with a sharp, malty, dry finish.

Derail Ale - IPA

A traditional hoppy India Pale ale, full flavoured with an intense floral aroma finished with a well balanced bitterness. Derail makes the most of Admiral, Cascade and Chinook hops and is robust enough to work in harmony with strong, spicy foods.

Soul Train - Session IPA

Driven by a desire for something new, this IPA updates the classic recipe. It also brings the ABV down to session levels. An IPA with a pleasant fruit salad aroma, Soul Train has a smack of Mosaic hop flavour that particularly brings out characteristics of bubblegum and tropical fruit.

Funnel Blower - Porter

Box Steam Brewery's porter has a vanilla sweetness contrasting a slight bitterness from roasted barley and chocolate malts. With a molasses aroma and a smooth chocolatey taste. Funnel Blower makes artful use of citrus Admiral, spicy Challenger and earthy Fuggle hops.

About Box Steam Brewery

There was a brewery at Box nearly a hundred years ago, and when resurrected in 2004 it stayed true to the Great British brewing tradition. They just added a little personality and a lot of enthusiasm.

The Box Steam Brewery has grown from a 10 barrel kit to producing over 6,300 hectolitres of beer per year. As a result, this has enabled them to broaden their coverage from a few local pubs in Wiltshire to most of the UK and now abroad.
